Simple Selection Guide
1U, 1W, 1M(S), and 2A, how to choose these models?
- We call the 1 series
Gen1
and2A
. TheGen1
is a radar based on the LD2410 module, and the2A
is a radar based on the LD2450. - There are other differences between the
Gen1
series, mainly in the implementation of the MCU, as well as the appearance of the different: 1W is the largest volume, 1U volume is in the middle, 1M (S) is the smallest product. - In terms of static detection: the
LD2450(2A)
is capable of target localization, but does not have static detection. This means that if the target's movement is very small, such as sitting on a sofa watching TV or sitting on a stool without moving, the target may disappear. TheLD2410 (Gen1, 1U, 1W, 1MS, etc.)
has a static detection range of up to about 2M. - In terms of detection, the
LD2410 (Gen1, 1U, 1W, 1MS, etc.)
can only recognize Y-axis energy fields, which are subdivided into user-specific settings by dividing them into 8 detection gates to precisely set the sensitivity of each one (including the possibility to set it to 100 to close this threshold), which makes it very flexible and requires a little bit of finesse to adjust it better. TheLD2450 (2A)
has X and Y targeting capabilities, but due to the lack of static detection, it is suitable as a moving target tracking radar.
