On the L12, we tried a new type of heat sink, and with a well-tuned printer, they printed out looking good.
To make it easier to open the box when necessary, we designed a portal to open the lid.
For the internal fixing structure we used a slot structure.
Again, the whole case does not use any screws, we want to keep it simple as soon as possible.
But there was a slight error, when printing, it was missing about 0.1 to 0.2mm of height than expected, which led us to use 3M double sided tape inside to add height and stabilise the structure. It often takes a lot of time to tweak the machine and design to combat the 0.1mm issue. But this is acceptable to us because the whole structure is lightweight.
It was fascinating to see it go from an original idea to a device. Despite the aches and pains of building them, still glad it's done.
Looking forward to the results of your explorations and have a great day.
