We received samples of the LD2412 today, and the first batch looks to have produced about 200 pieces.
On the current module, it looks like there is a requirement for power-up sequence, and if it comes online at the same time as the serial module, there is a risk that the module will not boot.
The OP needs to be installed and sometimes reading the serial port doesn't work.
But overall it looks like the distance is getting longer, the sensitivity is getting better, and the antenna is cooler.
The current MSRP is the same as the LD2410, and this is pretty good too.
Heat generation is relatively high, this is also similar to LD2410.
By the way, the module is very small.
We can get up to a first batch of about 60 modules, so if someone is brave enough to try the first batch, maybe we can quickly build a sensor with it and let everyone else experience its uniqueness as well.
We will probably call the new sensor Human Sensor L-12, where the 12 comes from LD2012.
