I know there are a million wired buttons out there, great products, all kinds of styles, but I still wanted to do something on the edge and this thing would be it:
- Very responsive
- Ability to customize the feedback state, e.g., a distant light is on, which can be synchronized to the button's light using HA automation
- Small, simple, not too ugly
We tried some prototypes, here's our first original look, it uses ESPHome construction, like the THS1, with a very small controller, then a black cable at the far end, and then that button, via custom aluminum alloy material + screws. The bottom supports magnet attachment, and that's the whole basic functionality.
As you can see through the video, it has a pretty good response rate to get timely feedback in HA.
And the most interesting thing is the indicator light underneath the button, it's red with adjustable brightness, which allows you to determine its behavior.
Of course it also supports double-click and long-press behavior.
The whole thing is like this, we call it WB1. i want to share it with you soon 😄 it's hard to imagine what people can do with it.
As with all of SCREEK's recent products, it will be priced near $25, and if we have more time, it will often be involved in discounts as well.
