We built an ESPHome sensor based on the ultrasonic sensor DYP-A01-V2.0, which can reach a maximum distance of 7M compared to our TOF products, but we have not reached such a long distance in our tests so far.
We've done preliminary code work and you can see some of it in action in the video.
Its claimed measurement range is: 28cm - 750cm
